Sudamlasibazaar – Small Turkish Coffee Sand Machine Review

This review focuses on the Turkish coffee sand machine from Sudamlasibazaar. 

If you want to get the authentic Turkish coffee making experience, there’s no better way to do it than with a sand coffee machine. 

Besides making one hell of a good cup of coffee, this machine also offers a lot of aesthetic appeal for entertaining customers. You get everything you need in the box, and the initial setup is pretty easy. 

But what’s the brewing like? What features does it have? And should you actually consider it for your home or business? Keep reading to find out. 

What’s In The Box?

So, what do you get in the box with this Turkish sand coffee machine? 

Well, besides the machine itself, you get a converter plug that lets you use it with US electrical outlets. Sudamlasibazaar also include a complimentary copper Turkish coffee pot for brewing, and you also get the sand required for brewing. That’s a relief because last we checked, our local grocery store doesn’t sell sand!

The Sudamlasibazaar Design

Sudamlasibazaar’s design language blurs the line between modern and traditional. The whole machine is made of high quality stainless steel, making it deceptively lightweight. 

Intricate traditional patterns adorn the outside shell, giving this coffee machine a more authentic look. We liked the large control knob placed up front for easier access and adjustment. 

As for size, this machine is relatively compact. We didn’t have any issues with setting it up or storing it in even smaller kitchens. 

Lastly, the Sudamlasibazaar works with US electrical outlets, though you will have to use the included converter plug. 

Capacity

This is the smallest sand coffee machine in Sudamlasibazaar’s lineup, but it still manages to fit the full-size Turkish coffee pot that comes with it. That’s enough for 4-5 demitasse cups of coffee.

Impressive though that may be, it is still a bit lacking. If you plan on entertaining larger parties, consider one of the larger sizes. 

Features

As for the coffee-making process, the machine will need about 25 minutes to properly warm up the sand. Once the sand is warm, you can brew as much coffee as you want. 

And that coffee tastes pretty good too. Of course, you’ll need to source the coffee yourself, but we were impressed by the effective heating.

The sand needed for actually brewing coffee is included with this machine. It is a small-grain sand, which helps disperse heat more evenly and improve brewing. The control knob on the front of the machine offers intuitive controls. 

Amazon Rating

Amazon gives this machine 3.4 stars out of 5, based on 23 ratings. It is definitely an enthusiast product, so the customer base is a bit more critical.

As such, buyers have voiced their disappointment at having to use a powerful step-up converter and the slow heating. But then again, that’s to be expected with an authentic sand coffee machine. 

That said, buyers seem to be highly satisfied with the customer service. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive, with most people saying that the seller was very responsive and offered useful advice about the setup/brewing process.
