SAKI Automatic Electric Turkish Coffee Maker Review

This review will take a look at the Automatic Turkish coffee maker from Saki. 

Put simply, this machine offers one of the most balanced packages of any Turkish coffee maker. It has all of the features you’d expect from a premium machine, but at almost half the cost!

You can expect world class brewing and flavor extraction, and the convenience this machine offers is through the roof. 

SAKI Automatic Turkish Coffee Machine: Design

Saki’s design is not as flashy or ‘busy’ as others. But don’t take that to mean this coffee machine lacks quality. In fact, you get BPA-free plastic for the entire build (except the base of the pot which is made of stainless steel), which makes it lighter and more compact. 

Speaking of, the petite size makes this coffee maker a lot easier to set up and store anywhere there’s space in your kitchen. 

There are two color options for you to choose from. The default black and gold, or a cool white and rose gold combo. 

On the practicality side of things, the coffee pot included with this coffee machine has a double spout design, one on either side of the jug. This makes it a lot easier to serve and pour coffee, even if you are left-handed. 

Capacity

We were worried that the compact design would mean a lack of brewing capacity. However, this machine manages to offer a 4-cup capacity, making it ideal for larger parties. 

Here, it is important to note that some coffee machines achieve higher cup capacity by just using smaller cups to measure it. We’re happy to report that none of that trickery is going on here, and the Saki gives you 4 standard espresso cups worth of coffee in one go.

Controls

The controls for this machine are nice and intuitive. There’s only 3 buttons for you to worry about, so you don’t get overwhelmed. Two of the buttons are presets that let you quickly brew 1-2, or 3-4 cups of coffee. This takes the guesswork out of brewing and you don’t end up wasting any coffee. 

And the last button controls the ember-cooking function that comes with this coffee machine. More on that in a bit. 

Brewing

Coffee machines at this price point aren’t generally expected to brew the highest quality coffee, which is why we were pretty surprised by the Saki’s performance. 

This machine puts out a robust cup of coffee. If you are tired of drinking weak and gritty coffee, give this machine a shot.

You get a smooth texture, without any grits or large coffee particles to ruin the experience. The flavor extraction this machine offers is also among the best we’ve experienced. 

But what impressed us most is just how consistent this coffee machine is, with every cup being followed by another that is equally strong and flavorful. 

The brewing cycle is also faster than most. This coffee machine spits out a full pot faster than you can say ‘caffeine addict!’ 

The cherry on top… is actually the foam on top. SAKI’s automatic coffee machine produces a thick and smooth layer of foam that not only looks good, but also makes your coffee feel that much more premium. 

Special Features

This coffee machine also benefits from the inclusion of Cook-sense technology. For the uninitiated, this intelligently regulates the amount of coffee so that there is no chance of overflowing. 

So feel free to start the brewing process and multitask while the machine automatically fills up the pot for you. 

But the coolest bit about this coffee machine is the ember cooking function. This is usually seen on more expensive units, so we were pretty surprised to find it at this budget-friendly price. 

For the uninitiated, ember cooking essentially gives you a brewing experience similar to the one you would get from brewing with sand or ember. 

Functionally, it slows down the brew time to 2-3 minutes, allowing the machine to extract every bit of flavor the coffee grounds have to offer. The result is a stronger cup of coffee that is bursting with flavor. 

Price

We’ve been talking about it all throughout the review, but the budget-friendly price of this coffee machine deserves even more recognition. Seriously, if you want to save a few bucks without losing out on any of the performance, this is the machine to get. 

Customer Support

The SAKI Turkish coffee machine comes with a 2-year warranty. Saki claim they will replace the machine free of cost, if there are any manufacturing defects. A number of reviews from other users state that they were able to get the machine replaced without too much hassle. 

Does the SAKI Automatic Turkish Coffee Machine Have Additional Features?

SAKI’s coffee machine comes with an overflow protection system. This uses a sensor to automatically gauge the coffee level and stop the brew when the pot is at capacity. 

It also has audio and visual alerts integrated into the machine, which let you know when the brew cycle has been completed. 

And lastly, you get a measuring spoon with this coffee pot that lets you get just the right amount of coffee for every brew.
