Copperbull Turkish Coffee Pot Review

This review details a Turkish coffee pot that comes to us from Copperbull, a Turkey-based manufacturer that specializes in stylish copper cookware. We’ve tested a number of their products in the past and found the quality and unique design impressive. 

The Quality & Durability of the Copperbull Coffee Pot

The standout feature of this pot is the materials it uses. It is made from high-grade 2mm thick copper, which gives it a nice, reassuring heft. Other copper Turkish coffee pots tend to be a bit lacking in the thickness department. 

The inside is lined with tin, which is non-reactive and non-toxic. This protects the copper surface from damage, while also making it safe to use for preparing coffee. 

As for durability, the whole pot is really well-made, which is a rarity with more style-focused  products like this. 

We aren’t too happy about the fact that it’s not dishwasher safe, but that’s par for the course with a lot of traditional cookware. 

Capacity

You only get one size option at 15 ounces. That’s on the high end for Turkish coffee pot capacity, though more options would have been appreciated. Still, this one is plenty for most people. 

It is enough to hold 5 or 6 demitasse cups, so you can easily serve enough coffee for a party of two, with room to spare. 

Design

We’re absolutely enamored with the design of this pot. The outer surface exhibits a unique pattern of small, irregular ridges. This is the mark of a real handmade ibrik coffee pot, and also adds a cool design detail as the different surfaces catch and reflect the light.

An embossed bull logo on the bottom adds a nice Easter egg for those in the know. But besides being aesthetically pleasing, the design is also functional. Specifically, the handle is made of wood, so you don’t end up burning yourself when pouring.  

Price

As Turkish coffee pots go, this one is priced pretty competitively. It’s not as expensive as others we’ve seen. However, the quality of build, and the fact that it’s handmade do mean you pay a bit more than a lot of other options. 

Overall though, considering what you get, we’re pretty happy with the price. 

Customer Support

There isn’t much by way of after sales support with this pot. Others who bought it off Amazon report being satisfied with the exchange and return process. But other than that, there’s no real customer support to speak of. 

Does the Copperbull Coffee Pot have additional features?   

If you were hoping for a couple more bells and whistles or add-ons, you’ll be disappointed. All you really get with this pot is the durable build, authentic design, and a small packet of coffee. 

For example, other Turkish coffee pot sets offer spoons or a lid for keeping the coffee warm in between serves. Not so with this one.

Still, it’s not completely one-note. Because it has such a traditional, attractive design, this pot works really well for decorative purposes. 

Furthermore, the heat-resistant design makes this a great vessel in which to boil small amounts of water. 

The tin lining means you can even prepare food (boil an egg) or other drinks like tea without worrying about the copper leaching into your food.

All things considered, we give the Copperbull pot a rating of 5.7/10. That might sound low, but you have to remember that our ratings are based on various criteria and take a lot of factors into account. 

And to put our rating into perspective, few pots get more than an 8 in our system. So really, anything close to 6 is actually pretty high praise.

Put simply, it’s pretty much a jack-of-all-trades, and a master of some.

It nails the build quality and design. The capacity is also pretty good, if not great. There are no glaring flaws, and people who have used this pot long term also agree that it holds up really well over time.

Add to that a not-so-pricey price tag, and you’ve got a recipe for success. In a nutshell, it’s neither the best Turkish coffee pot, and far from the worst.
