CopperBull Thickest Copper Greek Turkish Coffee Pot Set Review

Here is our review of the CopperBull Turkish coffee set. We have some big expectations for this set, seeing as how it was made by one of our favorite brands. But let’s see if it lives up to them or not. 

We have always liked the company’s ibrik coffee pots, and we’re interested to see how their coffee set stacks up against the best the market has to offer. 

CopperBull claims the cezve pot is made of the thickest copper for added durability, while the rest of the set is made of a material we don’t see as often. Speaking of, the rest of the set also has some really nice pieces that we’ll talk about more below. 

What’s included in the CopperBull Turkish coffee set?

This set comes with a coffee pot, 2 coffee cups, 2 cup holders, 2 lids, 2 saucers, and a bag of premium Turkish coffee for you to try. 

Quality & Durability

When you think of CopperBull, you think of high quality materials. That’s where this coffee pot excels. The coffee pot is made from the same 2mm thick copper that other CopperBull pots are renowned for. 

This helps the pot avoid damage due to extreme heat, denting, and the like. Not to mention, it also ensures the pot will last you for decades to come. 

The inner lining of the coffee pot is non-reactive tin, so you don’t have to worry about any toxic chemicals making their way into your morning cuppa. 

Moving on to the rest of the set, we were surprised to find that everything besides the coffee pot is made of high quality brass. Brass is even stronger than copper, so you get slightly better durability. 

Unfortunately, since all of these items were handmade by Turkish craftsmen, you can’t just chuck them in the dishwasher. In fact, you need to be careful not to use very strong chemicals for cleaning them, as they could ruin the surface coating, exposing the metal below to corrosion. 

Capacity

The coffee pot comes in at a decent capacity of around 8 fl oz. That’s about as big as coffee pots that are part of a full set get, so we can’t complain. It’ll also serve 4 cups of coffee, so you and a friend can get 2 servings each!

The included coffee cups measure in at exactly 2 fl oz. Interestingly, these porcelain cups are the only part of the set that can be cleaned in a dishwasher; something to keep in mind. 

Design

Coffee Pot

Admittedly, the design of the coffee pot in this set is a bit tame. The hammered copper doesn’t have any carving or engraving on it, instead opting for a subtle ripple effect that you can actually feel with your hands. 

The wooden handle makes it easier to brew coffee without burning yourself on the hot surface of the pot. A spout also makes pouring easier. 

Coffee Set

As for the rest of the coffee set, we think people will like the unique design and construction. Like we mentioned, this coffee serving set uses brass instead of copper for the cup holders, lids, and saucers. 

Here, CopperBull decided to do something against type and give these brass pieces a really nice top coating. You get two options, a shiny silver, or a gorgeous gold that wouldn’t look out of place in a Sultan’s palace!

Engraving

The contrast with the coffee pot only continues when you notice the engraving on these pieces. You will find a wide variety of interesting patterns, including floral, abstract, and a combination of various other styles. 

The Turkish coffee cup holders and lids in particular caught our eye. The holders in this set are solid, rather than the see-through design we find in other sets. 

The lids have a unique domed design with small crescent moons on the top that also serve as a place for you to lift the lid. 

Similarly, the saucers are treated to the same intricate carved patterns that look and feel fantastic. 

Overall, we really liked the look of this coffee set. Some people may not like the contrast between the copper coffee pot and the rest of the set which will be silver or gold. However, we think it’s a bold design choice that gives this coffee set an identity of its own.

CopperBull is a well-known manufacturer in the world of coffee pots and sets. That means you do end up paying a bit of a premium for the brand name. However, if the quality and durability of their other products is anything to go by, this coffee set should also last you for years to come. And that helps the higher price go down a little easier.

CopperBull went the extra mile and bundled in a packet of premium Turkish coffee with every purchase of this coffee set. It’s only about a 3.3 ounce packet of coffee, but that’s 3.3 ounces more than a lot of coffee sets offer, so we’ll take it!

Not to mention, the coffee is from renowned traditional Turkish coffee company Mehmet Efendi, who have been roasting coffee since 1871!

Besides that, this copper Turkish coffee pot can be used with both gas and electric stoves, giving you more options for brewing; no induction compatibility though 🙁

Our review proves that CopperBull thickest Turkish coffee set is not perfect. However, it does get a lot of things right. The build quality is second to none. 

The use of brass is unprecedented, and highly effective at making this coffee set stand out from the pack. 

The cups are dishwasher safe, which is really convenient, and the options you get for the color finish are also not seen on many other coffee sets.
