BEKO Turkish Coffee Machine Review

This review focuses on BEKO’s Turkish coffee machine. If you’re the type of person who likes to make a statement with their coffee machine, this one is worth a second look.

It has the type of design that is more suited to being placed in the living room for all to see, rather than out of sight in some kitchen cabinet.

BEKO Turkish Coffee Machine: Design

The first thing you notice about this coffee machine is the jaw-dropping good looks. High quality plastics dominate the build, making this coffee machine lighter than most of its competition. 

Add to that the compact size, and you get a coffee machine that is simpler to set up and use day-to-day. It also aids portability, so you can take it with you when you travel. 

Rest assured that the plastics used are BPA-free. There is no leaching of chemicals into the coffee, making this the perfect coffee machine for you and yours. 

But bringing it back to the aesthetics, we have to say we’re pretty impressed. The matte black look is broken up slightly by thin chrome stripes up front. 

There is a narrow red grill that goes around the whole top of the machine, adding a bright accent to an otherwise subtle black look. We also like the unique shape of this coffee machine, with the wider top part and tapered sides. 

Thankfully, this doesn’t cause any stability issues when you go to put the machine on a kitchen counter. 

Capacity

One area where the BEKO lags behind some of the competition is capacity. This coffee machine can only manage about 3 cups of coffee at a time, which is one less than the 4-cup capacity that has pretty much become the benchmark. 

Still, it’s enough for you, a friend, and any third wheels! 

Controls

Beko chose to go the ‘less is more’ route when it comes to controls for this coffee machine. There’s only one button that is integrated into the front of the machine and controls the brewing process. 

This button has a bright red LED behind it that lets you check whether the machine is running or has completed the brewing process at a glance. 

Overall, we found the one-button design of this machine to be pretty convenient. There’s no need to fuss over anything, and you get quicker brewing as a result. 

Brewing

Speaking of, just how well does this coffee machine work…as a coffee machine?

Well, suffice to say, it performs even better than it looks, and it looks pretty phenomenal! Beko has been making high end coffee machines for a long time, and the coffee speaks for itself. 

We can report that the coffee this machine makes is some of the best in the biz. You get a creamy texture, free of any grit or coarse coffee particles; that’s the reusable filter at work. 

Flavor extraction is also top-notch. You can expect rich, authentic-tasting Turkish coffee with just the right amount of foam. This is thanks to the superior heating system, that picks just the right temperature and then works to maintain that optimal level throughout the brewing process. 

And finally, we think people will like how quickly this coffee machine brews. It never took longer than 3 minutes for it to spit out a cafe-quality cup of Turkish coffee. 

Price

We aren’t too happy with the price of this machine. It is a bit pricier than other machines that offer similar performance. Some of those machines also have some extra features that let you customize and fine-tune brew settings. 

Moreover, all of those machines have higher capacity than the BEKO, which doesn’t help its case at all. 

Really, what you’re paying for with this coffee machine is the BEKO brand name and the promise of long term reliability that goes with that.

It’s not all bad news though. BEKO offers a 2 year warranty to go with this coffee machine. Besides being a feature that most other machines at this price point shy away, this also gives you a lot more confidence when making your purchase.
